Hari, cheers for a real nice blog. Excellent language and presentation, this is worth reading!
I should say I’m rather jealous of your exposure to PCs since such an early age. I used to boast that I’d started playing with PCs with the 286es.. First time seeing someone of our age who had the 086 (or 088 as Asif puts it) to play
I remember Asif, a few days back at class, telling me with awe that you guys had uncovered this antique. And the Mac, I am yet to touch one real thing.
Your post did bring me some nostalgia. Paperboy was a game that I used to enjoy a lot. A few months back I’d downloaded the DOS version from the Net. I did play it, but has a little difficulty in controlling the player to my satisfaction.. If you have a clue, I’d appreciate any help.
And, I should say that the 3D cubes and squares you’d generated (and gave to Asif) had adorned my desktop for some time.. and yesterday I saw it in one of my friend’s PC too. People seem to like it
Tc.
